However, once we got passed that story line and Nex and Kat finally came together I was deeply into it. I did have a hard time getting into it at first because of that and because of the very frustrating other man drama at the beginning. Okay I have to admit this is not my usual genre and third person POV is not my jam. And when they start breaking that rule heaven and hell will stop at nothing to break them apart. Besides the fact human and demon relations are strictly forbidden. He’s a high ranking demon with underlings, responsibilities and two hell hounds waiting for him at home. Which can’t happen because he’s not just any demon. The more time he spends bathed in her light the more he finds himself wanting to stay.
Nex plans to pressure her into picking someone so he can go home but something odd happens. Kat, however, is a certified good girl complete with her Bible, her church group and her virginity. Only he can’t go back until Kat gives him a name of someone to kill. No big deal she’ll just explain it was all a mistake and he’ll go back to hell where he belongs. Kat is just trying to memorize her lines for an upcoming audition when she accidentally summons a demon. While supernatural forces and the demon leader herself try to tear them apart, the only thing they can rely on is love, and a little bit of faith. Unfortunately, human and demon relations are strictly forbidden.

In addition to a love for stage-acting, the role would help distract her from the looming anniversary of her parents tragic deaths. Shy and innocent Katherine has always dreamed about getting the main part in one of her theater's plays.
